We went to the NMRA season opener in Bradenton, FL. I was driving my buddies car.
Mods:
LCA's, UCA's, panhard bar, spydershaft, Centerforce clutch, Whipple HO kit 12psi, Thumperrr tensioner, 60# injectors, Bogart D10 wheels, ET Drag slicks 28x10.5-15 @ 12psi, 4.10 gears, weight with driver 3680. Tuned by Kevin MacDonald of Diablosport. Everything else being stock.
2nd round of qualifying I ran a 10.72@123, 1.49 60' leaving at 5K rpm.
temperature was approx mid 60's with a horrible cross wind! Once I drove past the bleachers, you had to drive the crap out of the car b/c the wind would hit and make the rear start to dance!
I did better my 60' with a 1.488, but got out of the run due to not wanting to break out and being way out front of the other driver.
Was knocked out in the 2nd round to the guy that eventually won. An .042 light on a pro tree compared to a .024 light doesn't cut it! I bought into the bracket class and later ran a 10.92@124 1.55 60'. The sun was shining a bit more, but still cool out, approx. low 70's.
The car really needs an anti-roll bar as the car torques too much. The front left tire comes off the ground a few inches while the right is in contact with the track. More than an anti-roll bar, the car needs a shortblock!!! We have a big ass throttle body that'll go on this week as well as a MaFia. It hasn't pegged the maf meter yet, but it will once that throttle body goes on.
