yeah, you shoulda seen the look on my dad's face when we pulled the first one out...up until that point I had it in my head that I had the newer style heads and wasn't going to have this problem...

yeah I'm gonna use a bit of antisieze on them and after this they will be changed at lease every 10K..

how many of you guys w/ F/I changed your plugs again after getting tuned and running about a tank of gas though? one of my buddies told me that after I get all tuned and everything it would be a good idea to run a tank of fuel through the car and then swap plugs again? but if this is not necessary I don't want to have to do this again right off..

I have about 1500 miles on mine since I put the turbo on with HT0's. Only took them back out to make sure gap was .032 before my last tuning session. When I took them out they looked perfect so I found no reason to replace them, and btw thats probably a little overkill to do what your buddy said.

That's odd, they don't seem to that caked with carbon. Did you do the back and forth tightening procedure. When I did that I could really feel the carbon gunk coming loose.

Man, you guys have me scared. I've got 85,000 on mine and want to change the plugs. Hopefully the guy that owned it before me changed them at least once and I won't have to worry about this.

I didnt seem to have problems with mine either as some mentioned. I drove mine about ten miles down the road and hit them with PB blaster and they came right out. My dad on the other hand wasnt so lucky with his F150. He had to get it towed to a shop and have the head removed because they couldnt get the plug out without the head off.

Do this. If you know somebody with a borescope it would be smart to use it to check and make sure nothing's left in the cylinders.

Only broke one the first one when i didnt use a torque wrench. Used a small hose and rigged it to my shop vac. Than used a friends snap-on borescope to check inside. I know i didnt get anything out with the vacumm but i feel i got lucky with the debry going up the exhaust valve and out of the engine. *crossed fingers* havent had any issues in 4,000miles.

Well when I emptied the vacuum I found a couple larger chunks of porcelain. I called advance and autozone today and neither of them have borescope that they rent out...so I may have to buy one...Idk.

Did you use a small enough hose to get down through the spark plug hole?

Does anyone on here have one that they want to rent me? My uncle used to work for snap on and I'm sure he has one but he will be out of town for like 9 days..
