Time To Get Back To It, Spark Plug Heat Range

Been a while since I touched my car (or visited here) due to some health issues over the last few months, but Im ready to get back to my build. Quick recap; my '10 has a built 4.6 with a Kenne Bell running 12 lbs of boost. Ive had new injectors and a smaller pully sittin here ready to go on for damn near a year, to push boost up to 16lbs. I currently run Brisk Silver spark plugs one step colder.
So my question is, do i need to consider going another step colder on the plugs with the added boost? Am I overthinking? Or is this something that will be determined during tuning?

Side note: still havent found/decided on who will tune the car. It amazes me that with so many speed shops in Texas, so few want to work on old 3V's. Especially the more established, well known ones. I guess my car aint sexy enough

When I installed the R2300 TVS setup on my 2010 I ran NGK Iridium 1 range colder plugs #7554. There were no problems at all at around 12 psi boost and a Brenspeed tune. When I upped the boost to around 16 psi Brenspeed recommended Brisk 2 range colder plugs #XOR12YS. I have no problems with these plugs ether and I have run them with Brenspeed tunes and Lito tunes at over 18 pounds boost. Plug gaps have always been between 25 and 30 thousandths and stock coils. Never fouled a plug.

I feel your pain on the local Texas tuners, who were the 3V gurus, and no longer want to touch them. As long as Manuel (Lito) is willing and able, he will always tune my car. He straightened out the problems caused by Triangle Speed in Bridge City. They were pricks, btw. If it's not a Coyote or an LS, they no longer have time for you.

@MrBhp @Midlife Crises Lito is starting to sound more and more like the best option. Id have to buy a new SCT tuner, mines from 2013 or so LOL. But the money saved doing all the labor work myself would pay for it. Only part im really not looking forward to is the injectors. Im a sort of OCD clean freak, even when tearing stuff apart, all that spilled gas, f**k.

With a SCT X4 and a lap top You can load tunes and datalog. Manuel will want you to have an air/fuel meter hooked up for the boosted engine. I’m using an AEM meter and feed it into the data logs. You could ask Manuel which meter he prefers to work with.

Ive been a fan of Brisk, and know they are pricey, but the prices have jumped even more since last I bought them. $20 each direct from Brisk. Lethal Performance has them for $16, then gouges on shipping. $25 for ground shipping for 8 spark plugs? Get fucked LOL
SO, does anyone have a source that sells them cheaper, perhaps as a set of 8? OR can yall recommend a different brand you stand behind? Just a reminder, its a 4.6 on 16lbs of boost

I've been running Accel plugs 1 range colder without any issues. But I don't know if they make one colder or not.

I have used Brisk Silver Spark Plugs 3VR14S (one heat range cooler) and then changed too Autolite HT0 spark plugs (one heat range cooler) both gapped .045 and on two different 4.6L 3V (05' & 06' GT) and both ran great, but both of my cars are N/A.

I have not found an exact replacement from another brand for the Two Heat Ranges Colder plug so I just run the Brisk and don’t worry about it.

Yep, looks like thats what im gonna do. Stick with what works. I paid $120 for a set a few years ago, now over $170 is wild. Havent checked Brenspeed yet, thanks
