I think the deals will come when there is no longer an insane demand and the market is flooded. Me thinks that could take awhile the way back orders are looking right now. A Mega MA-TEN caught my eye the other day but the prices are still way too high. Ill bide my time....

Any of you guys know any Home Security System dealers I can talk to? I found a dental tool of some sort on be back porch by the door, and the yard gate was open as well. Its not sitting well with me right now, and Ill shoot a mother fucker. Not sure if that little tool was always there because it was sitting half way under a board, and my gate latch could be blown open with a strong gust of wind, but Im not taking any chances.

I've had ADT for the past 10 years, no problems. Don't have a guys name, just the regular 1800 adt number. 1-888-265-3577. I found a coupon for a free alarm and install online, so I just pay the monthly bill, I think it's 30 bucks or so.

Do you have motion sensing lights? I have two in front, one in back, just replaced the plain old light fixtures by/over the doors with them.

ADT or security system "signs" and stickers probably don't hurt either.
Some thieves are scared of dogs, so a few "beware of dog" signs probably won't hurt.

However I have heard the "Protected by AK-47" or similar gun stickers may encourage them to break in (when they are positive you are not home) to get the guns.

I use Johns Brothers. They are local and the pricing is a little cheaper than the big guys. We had ADT on our other home no issues either. Like Brady stated, security lighting of some sort. Light the place up. You can haggle with them to get free stuff added to your contract. Window sensors, wireless monitoring to your cell phones, etc...

I have motion lights in the back yard, but they weren't on that night thanks to my dad. They usually stay on. I'm going to home depot after I leave the dr office to get some dog signs and an extra lock for the back door. I saw an add online for a free 850 security system from adt, but it didn't really say what you were getting as far as equipment, I don't want to get one sensor then have to drop 2 grand to compete the setup. Gonna be patient and find the best deal.

Check with your homeowners insurance as they usually partner up with an alarm company and sometimes that gets you a discount on your insurance.

Or......

Motion lights on followed by click click boom.

Greg and I will stand Port and Starboard watch sections on the gate, it will be like old times, lol.

For real though Luke, I hope that that was all just a freaky coincidence and you get what you need to get that level of feeling secure back up.

I need to get 500-700 miles on the turbos, for break in, before going full boost. I would love to come up there for the meet but I am doing a full makeover on my garage and I am way behind schedule, due to injuring my right knee. I screwed it up back on the 10th and I am just now getting to where I can hobble around and get a little work done.

I have to get it done before it starts getting hot. The garage roof catches sun all day so when it starts getting hot out it gets too hot, for this old man, to work in the garage. I will have to miss the meet. You and Ray have a great time and good luck in the class.
