Last year I raced 1/4 heads up pro tree with Mustang On Mustang Racing (great format) and installed a C&L street CAI, sct I got from Brenspeed and 4.10s from a friend who was nice enough to install them for a great price and ran hard, placing mostly 2nd in qualifying each event but stayed in the points race and finally took the Street Class Championship.

This year I installed Cams and cmdp with UDPs and still am qualifying 2nd but only because the other car is a beast 12.XX but I am not giving up. I need .2 to catch a 12.xx and wonder if I should get a dyno tune or this tune is fine and all I just need is better tires? No drag radials allowed for class. (Stock Perrilli ok for street driving but not for the track)

I had the O2 sensors turned on for the tune and wonder if that will effect the WOT.

two tenths can be made up with just getting a better 60ft. 1 tenth in the 60ft is two tenths on the big end. i would try a set of stickier (non DR) tires. you are going to want a tire with a relatively low treadwear, but yet not a DR. This should help you get off the line some. Thats pretty impressive that you are 2nd congrats! 12 sec street tire street car is no joke!

I am due for tires and the nitto nto5 would seem an ok tire but Headers and replacing the stock mufflers are next on the list (I will be calling about those this winter) I have UDPs and Lower control arms sitting on the bench, I just don't have the time to get them in. Wheel hop is killing my et's too. These cars are a blast to work on with the right parts and the time to do it. I would have never gave it any thought to mod this car if there was not someone out there who knew what I was doing and why and having someone out there who has already been there done that with the parts is a source you cannot take lightly.

Thanks again Brenspeed,

This year I was first place in points for the MOMS Street tired class and after winning the championship last year as a rookie the expectations for this year were tough. Last points race of the year was tonight and I was matched up against a faster Mustang on Drag radials. I caught a redlight as the pro tree was. 4 and I hit a .383 and lost the points championship and finished second in class. Inspite of that one of my goal this year was also to run a 12 second pass on street tires 235's to boot and that goal with thanks to Brenspeed was met as I quailified 2nd in class with a 12.998 @ 106.55 mph.

There is more there I just have to find it.

Thanks for the advice and the support.

Awesome! Congrats on such a good season! Those are some impressive times for the stock tires!
