Hey everyone.

I'm in the process of an installing a Pypes o/r x-pipe on my 2007 GT. For some reason no matter how much I adjust it, I can't seem to align the downpipe with the manifold on the passenger side in such a way that the O2 sensor closest to the flange will reach. Everything else lined up just fine and this is the only thing keeping me from being able to finish. I removed the battery and battery tray to take a look from up top and with the O2 sensor installed on the pipe, the connector is about 0.5-1" away from being able to hook up to the harness. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Would a parts store sell something like that? I know I can order one online but my car is a DD and I don't think I could wait a few days.

Cut and extend the wires. If you get extensions your going to have all this extra wire to tuck somewhere. It's only like four wires and it should only take a few minutes. I've extended 7-8 sensors and have never had an issue.

I had a similar issue when I installed my long tubes on my 13 GT. Even with the harness unclipped from above the bell housing I was able able to make the connection but there was too much tension on it for my liking on the rear driver side o2. So I ordered rear o2 extenders from BBK and they worked perfectly. Now there is plenty of slack and able to zip tie the remainder out of the way. These were the ones I got. http://www.cjponyparts.com/bbk-oxyg...BSJjj4x2n3pAWJZIsImH2YZ4VBpHHfD5FyxoCVpHw_wcB I'm sure they make some for the 05-09 too

you can extend the wires yourself. but if you do, make sure you solder and shrink wrap everything so that its watertight and nothing can break apart the solder. if you dont feel confident doing that, order the 02 extensions to be safe. Seems like you live on the east coast. Order the 02 extensions from AmericanMuscle.com. they are based in PA so the extensions should get to you within 2-3 days. If your really worried about getting them quicker, you can always do overnight shipping

I actually ended up unclipping the harness from the bracket it was attached to in the back of the engine bay and it gave me just the right amount of slack. Worked like a charm but I had to remove the battery and battery tray to get to it.

Thank you everyone.

If I remember correctly, when I did my ORH the harness was zip tied or attached just in front of the firewall. I got it loose from there and it gave me the extra inch or two I needed to get it in there.

I forgot to give you guys an update. This is exactly what I ended up doing. I had to remove the battery and battery tray to get to it but it worked like a charm and my x-pipe is all done now. :thumb:

I just put one on my 08 and I had to cut and extend mine to make it reach.
