I've got a $150 budget for a helmet. I won't be tearing up the strip a lot, but will go probably once a month with my friends to run against their cars. I'm looking at this one, but not sure if it will work or not: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GFR-3002XLGWH/
What would you guys recommend? When I get my helmet and some DR's I'll be hitting up the strip :)

Check out your local motorcycle shop, they always have a large variety of helmets, that should get the job done.

be carefull of the helmets sold at bike shops they are not always SA rated, if your track tech decent they should fail a normal DOT motorcycle helmet

A good place for helmets from my motorcycle days is motorcycle-superstore.com. Not affiliated with them just bought from them and had good experiences. They say if the helmet is certified and to which level. Snell, SA, DOT, etc...

Was on their website the other day. They have closeout sales all the time and have tons of style to choose from. Some cool looking graphics too if that's your thing. Lots are under $150.00.

I read that some tracks are not liking open face helmets. I think it was IHRA tracks.

I recently bought one from here and with the discount code from this thread, it is only $134 shipped. And I just tried loading the code and it still worked.

When you decide on a make/model you should check out a local MC/Speed shop and test fitment - sizes can very greatly and an ill-fitting helmet can be just as dangerous as no helmet at all.

A lot of truth in that statement right there and good advice too.
