Help needed, a little urgent

Hello guys and gals,

This might be an unusual post, I really need your help here.

I am in need of some photos of the upper handbrake (parking brake) plastic cover. I had this Stang for almost 7 years now, but never realized this plastic cover was in such critical condition, most probably from teh previous owners. Last week I was cleaning the interior of the Stang and this plastic cover came off, and I tried to re-attach it,. only to find out that all the Tabs were broken, most probably it was holding on the last 2 tabs and one of them broke off.

Now since the only way to get this cover is to buy the whole hand brake set which is not cheap, I will be trying to fix it, but to do so I need to see how the tabs were and calculate the approximate size on the photos (unless there is an engineer in here that can give me the exact dimensions of the tabs). I will try to re-create them in 3D and do some modifications in the existing cover to fit the new tabs.

So if there are some people that can help me in this, kindly send me some photos at your earliest possible, so I can start working on it immediately since designing and printing the tabs require time and would like to have it ready by Sunday morning.

I broke them too, but not all, so it is still working, at least not coming apart.

If you have any u-pull yards nearby, it does not take much to find a replacement, I recently sanded and painted one for my GT. It's just a cover you can also just remove it or wrap electrical tape around it if you must.

Couple dots of super glue might do the trick. Enough to hold it but little enough that you could manually crack it loose if you had to get back in there

Unfortunately since I live in a small European country (Island) Mustangs are not so common to find them in yards, a Mustang here is treated as something special, so all Mustangs are taken care of and only driven in weekends.

My point is that I won't be able to find a replacement, therefore I have to repair the one I have, this is why I asked if there is anyone that can send me photos of one to see how the clips are and try to fix them and create new ones. Obviously the easiest way is glue it in place, but I do not go for easy solutions and try to fix thing to the original way.

I get the scarcity of Mustangs in Europe. Are the bottom connections in good shape, so you just need the top? I have had luck a few times using a heat gun to re-form plastic tabs. Meanwhile, I'll dig around and find a handle cover to photograph for you.

I could count on one hand the number of times I've ever needed to take mine apart, but I get where you're coming from in your reasoning. Do you still have all the original tabs that broke off? I've never had success gluing tabs back on (always break of again as soon as you try to put stuff back together) but maybe plastic welding would work
