If they show incomplete, then they are on as your tuner has said.

Your going to have to keep trying the drive cycles to get them complete.

Do you have a way to monitor them as you drive, like an app on your phone or tablet.

Thanks for the clarification as the initial drive cycles I completed last night was just the quick version, so my plan was to follow the detailed one you posted today. I do have a simple scanner that reads system readiness, so I can just swap it in for Aeroforce gauges once I confirm the car is warmed up.

once I confirm the car is warmed up.
this is key

Even with the warm weather right now, my IATs peaked at 102 via my Aeroforce gauge. I am not very confident with my tuner so I may end up up with basic email tune from someone else just to confirm. And with E-force there was no IAT sensor relocation.
This is off the beaten path but you aren't getting a true IAT reading if this is the case as youre reading iat's at the maf. if you relocate to the intake, you will see a different scenario on your iat's which may just save your motor in the long run

Maybe I am expecting too much, but zero change after 2 drive cycles yesterday and a 75 mile round trip commute to work today. O2 sensor & heater, plus Evap and Catalyst still incomplete...

I am off until 6/2, so I plan to drive it daily throughout the next week and if nothing changes I may revert to an email tune from another shop.

I am leaning towards the fact that your rear o2's are still turned off. You have done more than enough driving to ready them if they were turned on. Might I suggest contacting Brenspeed for an email tune, as they sell turn key eforce kits, and will be able to provide you a proper tune.

You read my mind as I was already considering a road trip down there to diagnose some auto shifting issues which may be tune related as well. So this might kill 2 issues as it would be nice to see if their email tune has any effect on my shifts.

Would the rear O2s being off affect the EVAP and Catalyst monitors?

And the plot thickens... I called Brenspeed yesterday and had a good chat about an email tune. At this point another tune could be a quick way to determine if anything was not turned on with my other tune. So I paid the $49 expediting fee and ordered a basic emissions tune. And to my surprise, it was sitting in my inbox by early afternoon.

After loading the Brenspeed tune this morning, my anti-theft light was flashing and the ignition was disabled. I took the car back to stock, reloaded the other tune and the anti-theft was fine. After further investigation, I found out that with the stock tune loaded, the anti-theft mode is present.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I assume PATS was disabled in my original post auto swap tunes... by the shop that did the swap. So any other tune would need the PATS disabled to work, correct.

I will call some local locksmith's on Tues. to see if any in my area have the programmer for completing PATS for this PCM.

I believe you have to take it to the dealers to have PATS re-enabled.

Whenever you change your PCM, you need to have PATS redone by the dealer.

I assume the car should have the stock tune loaded when the PATS is reprogrammed, correct? If so, this could interesting as I would need to be in the shop with the car to take it back to stock before the PATS is reprogrammed and then load the new tune once they are done. Which would be much easier with a locksmith as I could just have them come to the house.

My issues continue as the car was dropped off at a reputable Ford dealer yesterday to have the PATS reprogrammed so I could try the Brenspeed tune and a once over on the emissions hardware... and they are being anything but helpful. After not hearing anything back until late yesterday, I called and the service advisor told me they made zero progress and given all the "modifications" they would need more time to come up with answers. When I asked about the mods he was referring to, he kept mentioning the wiring changes... what wiring changes? Stock harness, nothing aftermarket except the E-force. He could not answer, just kept talking in circles.

I have feeling they don't want to mess with it because of the auto swap, so I made it simple and requested they just do the PATS reprogramming. And he once again stated it was not clear if that was possible. Nothing yet today, but I do not have a good feeling. I have exactly 7 days on my plate extension before the car is no longer legal to drive. I told them up front the entire history and of course this was not an issue until the car was in their hands. Another dealer I will never use... Rant over, wish me luck!

With 2 days left on my 30 day temporary tags, my emission issue is finally solved!!

In the end, it was a tune issue that was supposedly emission ready. But it took getting the dealer to finally understand how to reprogram PATS on a tuned car (I detuned it Monday morning in their lot and they successfully reprogrammed the PATS later in the day). Then after loading the Brenspeed email tune yesterday morning in the lot, the car started right up. And after the 12 minute drive to the office, I confirmed with my scanner all 7 monitors were finally complete/ready. So a quick trip to the emission shop this morning confirmed all was good.... "PASSED"!

What a PITA... all due to a tune!

What was exactly wrong with the tune?

No clue as the tuner swears all emission monitors were turned on, yet I could never get those 4 to complete. And with the clock ticking, I had to try something else...

Where did the PATS come into play?

Where did the PATS come into play?

I had the same shop do a manual to auto swap on the car and instead of getting the PATS done at the same time, they just turned it off in the tune. And for whatever reason, Brenspeed would not turn it off in theirs... but this was not known until after I ordered the new tune.

I also just exchanged emails with the original tuner and he has no clue why those monitors would not complete. So I guess he is working with SCT to find out what's wrong, not that it matters as I have no plans to do any more tune swapping right now as the car is running great.

Wish I could get mine worked out. My car has failed 3 times with 3 different BBR tunes and now I'm at the mercy of my local tuner to get it working. Missouri apparently has one of the toughest OBD standards in the US. This is good information to know AFTER putting all these parts on my car. Next mustang will be stock with axle back and visual mods. Not worth the PITA
