I have been trying to tune my 09 GT for a few months now and I cannot figure out what the issue is. I am using Lito as a remote tuner and he does not know what the issue is either. I have contacted SCT and they are also stumped. The car accepts canned tunes, or at least just the ones I have tried. It also has accepted a test custom tune. I am not sure exactly what was done in the test tune file, but it was minimum changed from stock to see what the issue may be. After the test tune worked, we tried another custom tune built on that test file and same issue. After the car us flashed, the car becomes completely bricked. The fuel pump primes continuously, the throttle body slams open and closed for a few seconds, and I have a forced engine shutdown code. While the car is bricked, I checked the CAN bus on forscan and there's a ton of Uxxxx codes. When I try to return the car to stock, the SCT X4 gives an 110D5 code for wrong vin. In order to return to stock, SCT has to give me a recovery file. When the car is set back to stock, all of the CAN bus codes go away. The only DTC's that exist are cam timing and o2 codes because the car is cammed. I used forscan to run self tests on every single module, and even rewrote every single modules as-built data from ford's forscan directory. I have tried flashing it while hooked up to a trickle charger, which worked with the test tune, but then failed with the custom tune. I dont think voltage is an issue. It was 13.2 before the flash while still on the charger. I have another X4 for my powerstroke that I know works. I unmarried it, loaded the tune, and attempted to flash the car and that didn't work either so the X4 is not the issue. I read somewhere that some people have received similar SCT codes (110x5) codes, but then they firmly held the connector to the obd2 port and the issue went away; that also did not work. I am totally lost and I have no idea what the issue could be. Before I start chasing electrical gremlins, does any body have any advice? I would greatly appreciate any help that I can get. I you have any questions or I did not explain something very well, please ask.

If it were my car, I would be seeking a local tuner & take the car to the shop for some " hands on " work..
Thats my next step. This post is my hail mary in case somebody has something that I missed.

This sounds like the tune is build on the wrong PCM strategy.
You should NEVER get a wrong VIN programming the car with a x4 that has been married to the car. It is possible the strategy code has been updated by Ford and the update sticker is not on the PCM. Has Lito or SCT actually ask what the pcm strategy is as seen by the X4?

We have tried multiple different strategies and none have worked. I've given him the strategy pulled from vehicle info on the x4 and the little SBM1 sticker on the pcm. Unless he keeps using the wrong strategy over and over again despite me asking to just use stock (not bullitt or anything else), then I dont know what the issue could be.

What matters is what the x4 detects for the strategy. That's why canned tunes work. Forget the sticker on the PCM, go by what the X4 detects for strategy.
Another possibility, it has been tuned prior you getting the X4. In which case, I would unmarry the X4 and reflash the PCM to stock and start over.

Ill confirm that the tuner is definitely pulling using the stock strategy pulled from the x4. And i am unsure if it was tuned prior, but regardless it has been flashed back to stock my sct. Unless they also gave me the wrong file...
