How do you keep your aluminum tanks clean...

I have water stains and coolant stains. How do you guys get the water marks off of aluminum. I've read the glass ideas, is it the same for the aluminum?

not really...... atleast it didnt with mine but i didnt really RUB it either just basically put it on wiped it off.
