Ok so I got a set of HRE's I might want to buy but im not sure if they will fit. I cant find the exact model but they were previously on a 2003 Aston Martin Vanquish. they look like 895r's but not exactly....

I have actually done this before...

It is not too expensive, however, there is alot to consider in doing a project like this...

I will not go into all of the details at this point and bore everyone to death:chainsaw:

As an example... I used a set of HRE 945r from an 08 Rolls Royce Phantom drop head coupe. Called Vincent Borla at HRE and gave him the numbers on the back of the wheels. Found out the exact numbers (offsets, Center Bore (hub centric) back spacing, and pad height for brake clearance, etc. Took measurements and triple checked them. After I knew that they would work, I removed the front hubs and rear axles and sent them to Moser Engineering in Indiana and had them cross drill the 5X120 mm bolt pattern into the hubs, axles, new front and rear baer 14" brake rotors and a 1 mm hub centric ring adaptor that I had CNC made. The cost was ~ $60.00 per pair. (you can also purchase forged axles for Mustang applications from Moser with the hub ring and bolt patterns to order).

I then purchased NEW lug bolts, and installed everything. and it actually worked great.

I would also recommend that you take the wheels to a top notch wheel shop and have them high speed balanced. I took mine to Butler Tire in Atlanta and first had the wheels road force balanced and then had them high speed balanced on the car at 120+MPH...Smooooth as silk, all the up to over 130+ with no problems.

Anyway, there are several different approaches to do a project like this. As the other member correctly mentioned "the bolt pattern is 5X108mm" The next item is the center bore of the wheel. If too large, use a SS hub centric ring, and if too small diameter, you will have to send them to HRE to have them bored out. Vincent said it was ~ $50 per wheel (I would not go any where else just to save a few$).

This type of project is only cost effective, in my opinion, if the savings can justify it .i.e. I saved ~$8k on my project.

Hope this info helps!

that sounds like a ton of work but those rims look pretty good Legend Shaker. Fortunatley I have the luxury of having a brother who works at Aston Martin and they get in HREs all the time off "old" cars.

Ive been told the 03 vanquish they came off have the 5-108 bolt pattern and all the newer Aston Martin's (DBS, DB9, vantage...etc) come with the 5-114.3 bolt pattern so I am going to go up to my brother's shop and fit some stock aston martin rims on and if those fit, then the HREs they put on them should fit my car.
