I don't follow Formula 1 but I did catch the last episode of "Top Gear" which payed homage to Senna.
Is that why someone brought him up in this thread?

i was about 2 seconds away from buying an 05 yellow elise, the only thing that stopped me was the fact that if i got in an accident on the freeway im a dead man. i also looked at a 86 I4 turbo esprit that was local to me guy wanted like 17k adn the thing had mad blowby adn shipping over an engine rebuild kit was astronomical not to mention the cost of those parts are insanely expensive. so i bought my mustang lol. i'd love to have an evora and set it up with a twin turbo kit.

i'd trade in my mustang in a heart beat if i found the right lotus, especially a v8 esprit

Both the Elise and Esprit are great cars, although I had a nightmare with my Mk1 Elise with it being off the road and in the shop for 9 months out of the first 12 that I owned it! You name it and it went wrong! However, when it worked... WOW! WHAT A BLAST! I eventually got a complete replacement car from Lotus, which was great and I had absolutely no problems with it, but it was red and my original one was titanium... the best colour IMO! Still, they did also give me a hardtop for free and a private tour of the factory, so it was all good!

The Elise is a hell of a lot stronger than it looks and you're pretty well cocooned, but I'd have to admit that I too wouldn't want to be in a wreck in one on the freeway!

An Evora kitted out with a turbo, now that would be SICK!

That was a great episode of Top Gear, one of the best in a long time!

Senna came up because I posted this vid earlier within the thread of him driving an NSX...

That is also his voice in the background of the first video. Those interview clips were on that Top Gear episode.
