This is the fuse box behind the passenger side kick panel inside the vehicle. Mine is bad, no more gauge cluster display or OBDll readings as well as lighting issues. Not sure if theres a difference but mine is a coupe not convertible and a manual transmission.
Let me know here, thanks!

Have you pulled it out of the car yet?
On my '07 many pins on the back had corrosion so the case was opened and all of them scrubbed clean.
Then the connector plugs got cleaned up and when it was all hooked back up, all the gremlins were gone.

Time consuming and tedious work. However needed as the SJB are now obsolete

I did not open the box just took it out of the car and cleaned the visible corrosion on the pins and connectors

I got it apart without breaking any of the tabs but there didnt seem to be much corrosion inside. There were some weird bubbles that im not sure are supposed to be there. Im gonna clean it and try again. Ill attach some photos, i know there not great but if you can notice anything wrong please let me know thanks.
There is probably much more corossion isnside the box

As far as I know the bubbles are an indication that the circuit is starting to overheat

Looks like a pre 2007 SJB, they were known for breaking power driver chips (Solid State Relais VN920B5-E). The 4 pin big chips on your 2nd picture (they are on both sides). You can take a multimeter with diode test and probe them.

Not in the least tiny bit for me, #ymmv

1. One single 10mm bolt to remove.
2. asortment of cable harnesses to unclip/remove
3 pull out SJB and take to workebench
4. Use pry tool to unclip clamshell case
5, remove large circuit board to inspect

Please post if you find the part or a rebuilder for yours (to avoid having to have it programmed at the dealer if new or used), seems difficult to find in either case.

Even if it is "Rebuilt", you should consider proper programming for full functionality.

All done. I was able to clean the C210 and the SJB inside and out without breaking anything. I was lucky as I had no green corrosion, just white powder on the pins and relatively little of that. I used CorrosionX on all the pins and their female counterparts to help against future moisture, then did all the normal moisture remediation stuff. Runs fine now with no errors or haunted lights and sounds.

Need to find compatible cowel retainer clips (that fit on the windshield side) the metal clips that you attach to the plastic ones on the cowel pieces before you press them into the rectangular grommets. I can can find the grommets (don't need them) but not the clips. Has anyone used a different body clip for this purpose? Maybe this one=Panel Clip - Ford (W710088-S403)? Cheap enough to grab some, hoping someone has found compatible metal retainer clips before.
