Inconsistent idle with cams

Fattening up the MAF transfer a little bit and raising idle RPM by 50-150 RPM may help stabilize it. There's lope, and then there's LOPE, so I know what the OP is getting at. LOL

Really ? i have 127300's and they have hardly no lope but when they do lope at cold idle they act the exact same. a buddy with hot rods do the same . this is pretty much the norm from my experience

My Detroit rockers do it too. There has got to be a way to keep the computer from messing with them. Idle is rock steady but lope comes and goes.

It's the variable cam timing. Each head's timing is independent so you get what you are hearing. I like the way it modulates; sounds like the pair of 454 big block Chevys in my dad's boat!
