Glad you got it worked out...
I put RTV behind the entire washer where it meets the crank and I use a favorable amount also .i just cant believe it would leak that much and get everywhere just from that keyway.
quick question do u just put a small amount on the top of the keyway or do u fill the damn thing up with rtv because i think i am gonna have to do it because the shop that the car is atpretty much doesnt know there head from there ass they had the damn car since last monday andstarted looking at the car before lunch yet no god damnprogress soi am gonna have a talk with them tomorrow if they dont have it fixed( yes i am gonna tell them to check the keyway on the balancer) i am taking the damn car from them and doing it myself a week is ridiculous.
ake it that is what the rtv on the bck of the washer is there to help prevent it leaking around the cranshaft?I fill it up , no leaks since I started doing it this way . Oil can seap around the crankshaft also .
Yes , along with the key way and the bolt as well . If yours didn't leak before the Procharger then I really think this will be where you problem is . They had to remove the crank bolt to install the lower pulley.ake it that is what the rtv on the bck of the washer is there to help prevent it leaking around the cranshaft?
Another place to look is the two areas where the head gaskets meet the front cover and where the front cover gasket meets the valve cover gaskets . These areas use the sealant as well .iTs a brand new engine with 150o miles on it justgot done being built, i know they were pressed with time and the only thing i can think of is someone forgetting to rtv the keyway and such when putting the motor together.
