Im not a physics person by any means...but i dont think vibration would change much. The noise makes sense, hit alum with a hammer and then hit carbon fiber with a hammer, let me know which is quieter...lol. But the CF may abosrd more vibrations as well.
But i have the alum. one and there is zero added vibration...but it for sure is louder then stock.

last update (in this thread anyway - I may start another of my own as this progresses): I just got off the phone with DSS, the rep mentioned that when they balance the shaft they sometimes mark the adapter plate to indicate the orientation (i.e. if you install it as marked it should be balanced).
I don't recall seeing any alignment marking. I politely requested that if they do that then they should have a note with the shaft indicating such so we know to orient it properly!
They issued an RMA and I'm shipping it back on my dime for inspection. I will mark the shaft and adapter plate as it's installed so they can run it on their machine as I had it mounted to see if there's any difference (and I plan to inspect the adapter to see if there's any mark on it from them).
On a good note, LRS's SVE drag wheels look sweet and I plan to order a set shortly!
I don't get the big deal with the DSS driveshaft, the only advantage I have seen is people mentioning not adjusting pinion angle. I would prefer adjusting it and having the proper angle since it doesn't take that long and the tool needed to do it is what $12 dollars at home depot?

Im not putting a $12 part from home depot on my car...that sounds fucking stupid and a terrible idea!! Also read up on the balancing and building process of the dss.

Do you know that the upper control arm is cranked down at 300+ ft lbs? That tool isn't $12 to buy.
I'm talking about a $12 tool to set pinion angle lol. Sounds like the balancing process is working well from what I been reading lately too
I bet you not many, if any performance shops torque the control arms to spec, especially with a 3/4" torque wrench since there isn't room up there on these cars. Which bolt is the 300+ ft-lbs? Btw I do know what they cost since I was a heavy equipment mechanic and had a 600 ft lb Snappy.
Id say your a tool...a $12 one to be exact.
All aftermarket parts might have a production issue with one or two....nothing in this world is perfect....it's why there are warrenties. It should be a thought in the back of yout mond that something could be wrong. As long as the company takes care of you, then thats all you can ask for...if you dont like you shouldnt be modding your fucking car! Now im sure you'll take what im saying and blow it out of proportion...im not saying a company can put out shit products all the time, but every kow and then something just doesnt work....
Ive seen issues with all the other companies as well!

Skulls why so butthurt. Lol he was talking about an angle finder not a part.
I guess no one has ever heard of torque turning. Same basic math skills and a torque wrench is all you need to get to 350 ft lbs. Btw mine is at what BMR recommends.
That's actually the upper control arm mount, the bolt that goes through the floor, not the control arm hardware. Like I said, ask some shops and see how many are torquing them to specs.
