Hi folks

I know a guy who wants to donate his used Saleen Supercharger to me,
because he wrecked his 2005 engine with a 10PSI pulley and a lean mail tune ( plus he owns a company and his `13 GT500 is allready ordered )
and then switched to a JDM 302 engine with an Edelbrock E-Force.
The supercharger has been laying around for 2 years, it`s dusty but seems to turn fine.
It has a ported lid, and various performance parts, around 8500$ in total:

Saleen Stage 3 Kit - 05-08 Mustang
Ford Racing twin 62mm billet throttle body
HT0 pre-gapped cold spark plugs
39lb injectors
- pulley 4" Standard, 4-5 psi
- pulley 3.6" Stage 3 kit, 5-6 psi

Included are four different air intake/MAF combinations...

Now : I`ve read the 118 Pages of intall instructions from Saleen, and I`m worried about all the small parts, that might be missing, plus I don`t know what`s the best way to start.

1.) Should I install the supercharger along with the OEM throttle body and the OEM air intake/MAF from my `07, since it might be easier to get a mail tune, or should I go with the FRPP throttle body and my Bullitt intake?
2.) How easy is it to convert it back to stock in the future, since there are spliced in electronics, and relocated cooling lines?
3.) Is there a proper way to proof that the supercharger is working fine and needs no maintenance after 2 years of laying around?
4.) Should I install a new alternator, since my old one seems to be weak and I have to splice its harness anyway?

Thanks for taking time and helping me.

1. Talk to who you plan on getting the tunes from and go from there. I would think a few good tuners have done several combos with the Saleen SC with success.
2. I can't comment on item #2 since my car is an 06GT and I don't remember doing anything to the coolant system. Does 07s require the 05-06 coolant system? I don't think the wiring splices would be a problem going back to stock.
3. Change oil in SC and maybe inspect the seal of the SC. I believe their was some earlier ones that tend to leak from what I read on here.
4. If your alt is on the way out why not - or have the new one ready with the new alt pulley. I did not splice my harness for the alt.

1 talk to your tuner.
2 going back to stock is as easy as putting it on.
3 send it to 281 motorsports have them look it over
4 common sense tells me if its weak it needs replaced, why not do it if the altenator is coming off anyways

I do it right the first time so you dont have to keep takin it apart. Small parts could cost you some bucks depending on whats missing and if you have to order them direct from Saleen.

LITO seems to be an international kind of guy. You could do worse than to talk to him. You have to be a pretty careful hotrodder! I hear the speeding tickets float in relation to your income?

Yeah there is no inexpensive way to have it inspected...
@weather man : yes you heard right, my last ticket was around 1200$ for 25miles over the speed limit on a Autobahn. Plus I had to walk for three months.
