I will be replacing my stock steering wheel soon, and I am planning on keeping the cruise control function. I know that there are CC relocation brackets available for the 3v stock buttons, but looking around I came across with the SVE bracket for old Ford CC buttons which looks way better than the 3v versions.

Both CC sets have the same # of wires, and I was wondering if it is possible to install old cruise control(CC) buttons on a 3v, ideally by just splicing the connectors. I am very inexperienced with auto wiring, which is why I thought I'd ask here first for more information.

Below is the 3v CC wiring diagram followed by a 1992 f150 302 CC diagram, because I already have a 1992 f150 351w steering wheel. But if buttons from another ford vehicle works, let me know.

Did you ever end up doing this? I'm going to have to do this myself because I can't find a bracket for the s197. One company used to make one but I think they just stopped because it is no longer on their website.

Ya, was this project ever finished?

AZ3v: Do you have any idea what company used to sell these?

Just about to pull my factory steering wheel. Have been putting this off for 2 years, since I didn't want to lose Cruise.
