Intake vacuum assist tube delete

I know this is a stupid question but I can not find a Ford diagram online for this. How can is delete/reroute this vacuum assist in my 2012 auto Mustang? And can someone explain it's true purpose. This photo is not of my car. It's simply for illustration purposes.

It's not a vacuum assist, it's a sound tube so you can hear the intake noises in the cab.

Go to Ace Hardware and buy a couple 1.75" rubber caps. Remove the sound tube from the vehicle. Put one rubber cap on the inlet in the intake tube and reuse the clamp to hold it in place.

On the firewall side I cut the end off the sound tube with a razor knife leaving just enough tubing to put the cap on. I used a zip tie to hold that cap in place.

I'm sure it has been covered a million times. But when you do not know the name of the part or the nature of its function, it's difficult to search a key word. But thanks for the help.
