Has anyone swapped their dash and center consul out, I'm thinking of getting a 2012-2015 dash and center consul (I like the way the look) and putting it in my 05. I'd want to keep my current steering wheel, gauge cluster and after market Radio and I'm ondering if they will fit. Know it would possibably involve changes to the HVAC ducting too. I guess the big question is the HVAC and gauge cluster.

I did a complete 10 swap. Not saying its not do able. It wasnt hard to swap the entire harness and everything was plug and play then...

Got any pictures? Just someting I was thinking about. I'd probably want to keep my wiring harness if I'm not changing out the engine.

If you are going to swap in a 2010+ dash, you are going to need to swap in the cluster along with the wiring. You'd need to get all the 2010 electronics to keep it in line with a 3V. HVAC will be easy to keep if you do not get the Electronics package/nav screen harness, etc since that has a dual zone box.

So I would have to switch over the gauge cluster? I was looking to keep my steering wheel and gauge cluster. The dash wiring harness connects into the regular body harness correct?

Yes, the dash harness connects with the full body harness.

FYI there are four main harnesses in the car -

Body harness: starts on each side of the front frame rails and makes its way completely from front to rear. Has one cross over right behind the dash, behind the HVAC. Connects to the PCM in the engine bay and the SJB. Also directly connects to seat belts, side air bags, fuel pump, sender and fpdm.

Dash harness entangled behind the dash that connects into the body harness

Engine Harness: completely connects the engine into the PCM.

Headlamp Harness: Connects into the body harness. Headlamps, fog lamps, horn.

Then the misc ones, such as door harness, headlamp harness, seat harness, taillamp harness, and trunk

Something else you need to think about is putting the 2010+ up doors in the car too since the HVAC pumps out to the doors and has the cut outs for it.

Hmm, it was a passing though. I need to think more about it. I do like how the newer dashes look, but was looking to change as little as possibable other then the dash and center consul. Thanks for the information.

I'd like to do this also. so what i'm getting from thinking I would need the dash, gauges and harness only?

So the 2010 door panel fit?

I very much doubt the 10 dash harness will work with older wiring. Itll never plug up. I used the entire harness from front to back.
