Holy troubleshooting schematic Batman!

Hopefully it gets the problem solved. Ive gone from the radiator to the core, including electrics trying to figure out what could remotely possibly be his problem and nothing comes to mind.

Seems like the actuator door is the last thing left.

Thats a great tool. Ive seen it used before. Eliminates all the air. it wasnt a snap-on but a similar design. it sucks the coolant up really fast.

I did the Troubleshooting list from hell checklist ... and it all checked out so the internal heating core / door is fine.

If I sit at the light and revv the engine the air will change from blowing cold to hot, when the engine slows down to an idle then it blows cold again.

Hmm you think Internet troubleshooting is hard try it with the stupid car right in front of you... Fuck this thing pisses me off....

The only other thing i can think of is that you have an air pocket in the heater core. Try bleeding the coolant system. Elevate the front of the car. Start the car and let it come up to operating temperature. Remove the cap and try squeezing the top hose several times. Repeat until you have steady heat at idle.

I used an older Snap On version when I did my built motor. Works like a charm & the system will never be air locked.

It may be the EMTC.

There are instructs to reset and recal the EMTC.
Instructs for that are on page 2 of the PDF.
Otherwise Pinpoint test C are where you would go next.

Could it be one of the coolant passages in the block are stopped/restricted?
