Equal Opportunity Offender
For the past week, after 20-30 minutes of highway driving the light comes on. It will sometimes go away a while later and always goes away if I turn off and re-start the car.
The wheels and tires are the OEM's and the tires have never been off the rims. I do swap them for a set of drag radials at the track but I'm pretty sure that I put them back on the same side, I've even tried switching them around but still get the same result.
I have stopped and checked the pressures immediately after the light has come on and all tires were at 35 psi (hot from highway driving) and settle back to 32 when cold. It does not come on for around town driving but I rarely drive it for more than 20 minutes in town.
Anyone have any idea what would cause this and why re-starting the car always fixes it? Other than replacing the sensors one at a time, can anyone suggest a way to diagnose this?
I searched and found one person who had a similar problem but their TPMS sensors were placed in a pressurized tube, so not relevant to this problem.
