I finished assembling the engine yesterday and got it running today. It's basically the same setup. However, I installed CP pistons with a -9cc dish, and I zero decked the block. After CC'ing everthing, my compresion is 9.71:1. I had each port vacuum tested and almost every valve leaked so bad they would not maintain vacuum. So, I ended up replacing some valves and had the machine shop do a 3 angle valve grind and set the installed height on the springs.

I also replaced the black Procharger valve with a big red race valve, installed a meth tank in the trunk, and moved the gauges from the pillar to the dash and installed a wideband.

Unfortunately, my 127550 cams didn't show up yet. I have a road race on Thursday so I decided to get the car running with the 127350's. I will have to install the 127550's on Friday or next week.

I spent some time on the dyno breaking it in and then made a pull with pump gas and no meth.

Good to hear you have it back up & running. I am still waiting for my new shortblock to be shipped. Interesting location for the BOV. Any reason you moved it up from the lower location?

Man, that looks and sounds killer! Congrats on getting it back up and running. Sucks you have to do the cams again...

I wanted it closer to the blower. Also, if I have to adjust it, it's much easier up top. On top of all of that, for $400.00, I want to be able to see it.

Looks good, let me know how you like the 550's over the 350's and what kinda power difference you see between the two. Really considered the 550's for awhile and was kinda talked into the 350's. Still been considering make the swap to the 550's or 650's.

I will let you know. I should make more power with the 127550's. I don't think I am seeing the potential of the ported heads and intake manifold because of the low lift of the 127350's and the peak of 6300 RPM's. Extending the lift to .547/560 will get me into the sweet spot of the head flow numbers.

See I thought the same thing when I got my and ported Livernois heads. That the cam was not much more aggressive than stock and didn't take full advantage of the ported heads and the increased air flow at higher lift.
