i pull 2.05 60' and run an 8.51 (still slightly letting off but not much. havent made it to the 1/4 mile yet but i am this friday) but thats rougly a really low 13 sec pass maybe even a 12.9.
his 60' was 1.7x that right there would already put him at a 8.2 at worst, add good traction and good weather and the 4.10s yeah its possible but most people on this board dont know how to do simple math and i konw everyone is going to fight against it and blah blah blah. thats why i told the guy dont even worry about it cause this board is all about F/I and if you run close or faster then someone with F/I or more mods then the other then its bullshit and not possible. grow the fuck up people and just congrats the dude, hes fucking stoked on his time. if you wanna be a bitch about it then bitch to yourself and let everyone else be happy

A lot of people on this site are so quick to call BS on a fast time because they can't pull it off with more mods. I ran 12.57 @ 109 with the mods in my sig on stock 3:55's. I also ran 12.58 @ 110 at a entirely different track. Both times were done in 30-40 degree cool weather and the passenger seat was removed for weight savings as well as the trunk being empty. Track elevation and weight savings also play into the factor of some of these fast times. It's not like he said he ran 11's with the mods he has. I've seen quite a few members on here with some sick times with very minimal mods like me. BTW nice time and good job!

Yes i had my truck empty, short belt on to bypass the power steering, 1/4 tank of gas, and with the 91 tune i had 93 in the tank so i bumped the timing up 6 degrees.

Will be putting on lakewood rear shocks, motor mounts, and che brace with limiters next week, maybe eibach drag springs too. does the off road h pipe help??

last Dec in Steele AL. i went 13.21 @ 106 with the intake, 91 tune stock tires and 3.55 gear that was with a 2.06 60ft there was a guy there from Birmingham AL. that went 12.97 @106 and a 1.97 60ft on stock tires, mods 3.90 gears jlt intake bama 93 race tune

i fully understand how weather effects performance. i was born at night, but it wasn't last night. i was bracket racing before most of you guys were born.

when i said good weather, i meant good racing weather. i'm fully convinced my car has a 12.70 in it or perhaps even a little better.....but that's running pretty hard, leaving hard, powershifting, at 6500, in good weather

and then we have all these guys running around here with barely any mods going way fast.

whatever x 3
your car should be way faster than it is.my 05 with jlt cai,3.55's,no cats, tune, and shitty nitto drag radials ran 12.96 at 106 and change 4 years ago so it is possible to run that fast if you can drive.with your mods your car should run 11's N/A.

i guess no one here in san antonio can drive. there aren't any s197's with comparable mods to mine going anywhere near 11's. not even close.

you kids can say what you want, i'm not buying it.

it is what it is.there is always going to be someone faster than the next guy with less mods.

you're suggesting with my mods, i should be going a second faster. that's not only b.s., it's raging b.s.

i leave hard and powershift at 6500 rpm...there's some room for improvement in my 60' times, 1.86 is my quickest, but not enough to make a second's difference.

i know how hard i'm running the car. it would take a 125 shot from here to reach 11's. i see what cars like mine can do every weekend that i go to the track. there's a plethora of mustangs every week with cai, gears, and tires, and none of them go under 13.0. there aren't any secrets formulas or factory freak super cars out there. the only guys with mods comparable to mine to go low 12's high 11's are squeezing a signficant amount of n2o. and this has been in pretty good racing weather, too.

i suppose i could go under 12.50 if i did a 6k clutch dump, but that's about it.

i'm still not buying the rest of it. time slips are a dime a dozen and can be borrowed from anywhere.

then there is somthing wrong with your tune then.withthe power your car makes and the parts you have on it.it should run in the 11's say what you will.if not 11's low 12's.if you can't get it to go that fast your track must have shitty air.

OP: Good run and it's possible.

I ran an 8.34 @ 84.25mph acouple weeks back at Atco, NJ and my mod list is less then yours.

60' - 1.922
330 - 5.425
1/8 - 8.347
mph - 84.25
1000 - 10.851
1/4 - 12.973
mph - 106.78

Mods that matter: Tillman Speed Dyno tune, C&L 'street', Prochamber 'offroad', Borla Stinger Axleback, CHE Adj. LCAs, 17" OEM rims with MT ET Street Radials (275/40) @ 20psi, Coast Alum DS, alittle less then 1/2 tank of Shell 93oct, and the trunk was empty.. I also had the heavy ass 18" GT500 wheels/tires on the front.. which will be taken off when we hit up Cecil, MD Friday night!

Take a clear picture of the timeslip and post image on photobucket or just upload it as an attachment from your computer.

my bad, I didn't see the alum d/s in your mods. and being NJ where the air is good I can see where you could run those times.

These times are believable. With the same mods but running 93 octane and UCA,LCAs I have run a best of a 1.63 60' (i'm at work and dont have slips for exact numbers) I have run 7.9s in the 1/8th which were 12.5s and 12.6s for my car and the conditions I had. I have seen other drivers otdrive me and best my times. I really wanted some NA runs going to my bias plys but now went Whipple. I am really looking forward to seeing some NA times with new intakes hitting the market.

Prevailing winds never get mentioned but they make a big difference. My highest trap speed was attained with fewer mods, but a hellva push from mother nature. Wind is always a factor at my track and people tend to always run slower there than most other places.

Everytime I see a video on youtube or otherwise where someone has run a very good time, it's always at night (less wind) and invariably quite cool.

I think the OPs time is believeable, given a lot of favourable factors. That's the problem with these comparisons, there are soooo many variables. Driver weight is another one that can vary 100 lbs between people.
