I have the 2.4L KB and I'm trying to get whatever I can out of it. Once I get everything figured out with my car leaking and the issues, I want to upgrade the throttle body. I'm on the stock throttle body, with the stock TPS, all 05 model year stuff, so I think this is causing some of the driveability issues in my tune and holding me back on power some.

I was going to do just the GT500 throttle body, as that seems to be the best all around option, but what are my other choices, and what will fit on my KB? I did some searching and it looks like people get good results from the monoblades from KB, but I'm afraid I will have driveability issues and my shop said they are had to tune with. I'd LOVE to have the FRPP throttle body, but unless one comes up used for a good price, I can't see myself dishing out $550 on a TB

I ran the mono blade for 3 years with out a problem with drivability issues. It will definitely free up some hp as my car made 38 rwhp from just swapping throttle body at 10 psi.

port your stock tb

No... just no.

Kenne Bell's stage 2 kit offers their 130mm monoblade billet TB. I run one on my car, and LOVE it. I can't speak of the difference in it compared to the stocker, because this is the only TB that has been on mine the entire time the KB has been on the car.

I have an extra one if you want it. I thought there was an original issue with the TB that KB sent me, and paid for another one, and it never took care of the actual issue I was having at the time. If you want it, make me an offer on it. I'll post some photos if you really are interested.

I just put the 130mm Billet KB Throttlebody on my car this week and it drives perfectly with no issues, no hangups with the RPM's, nothing! If I hadn't looked under the hood, I wouldn't be able to tell it was there just by driving around, when I get on it...yeah...I can tell.

I have a 2.4 KB on my stroker and the throttlebody really seemed to pep the car up. I haven't dynoed it yet (builder wants me to put a few more miles on it) but from what I can tell on my boost gauge, I picked up a little more boost.

I would buy Miracle's KB Throttlebody if I were you. I paid $480 for mine new, so if he gives you a break on it, it's going to be a steal, plus, Miracle is a stand up guy!

Noice!

If you still have a stock TB mounting surface, you can fit the KB 130. Of course, you would need to get it tuned, but you get the idea. The KB throttle body mounts up to the stock mounting points of the OEM TB.

I have heard they are garbage, but that is just hearsay.

SUHleen, I'll drop ya a PM.

i'll let you know in a minute i'm currently installing it.

well i finished installing it at 6pm.....damn jlt adapter tube did not like going on that bbk6 throttle body with the hose clamp it came with so i spliced a second one in until i can get one bigger then 127mm. as far as the throttle body being garbage so far it works wonderful, i watched the install video and it was easy after that. honestly the hardest part of the whole thing is getting that damn jlt tube to slip on over it. i took it down a main street and went through the gears it worked just fine, surprisingly with just the jlt/91 octane tune that came with the diablo sport it didn't show any dtc error codes.

so in all honesty it doesn't seem as bad as the 2v 78mm throttle body as far as quality and functionality.

PM sent about the TB. What issues did you have, is the other TB in good working order?
(Sorry for the slight thread hijack, but I'm looking for one of the KB TBs).
