I looked into it. When I called Shelby about 6 mos ago they said they were sold out of the systems for my 06. There's an MTX & JL upgrade?

I have the MTX ThunderForm Mustang Subwoofer Box, took out the crappy MTX sub and put an INFINITY 1262W 12" DVC subwoofer in. I am still using my Shaker 500 head unit with INFINITY KAPPA 682.9cf 6x8 in front, INFINITY KAPPA 693.9i 6x9 in back, INFINITY REFERENCE 5350-A AMPLIFIER and even have the stock Shaker 500 woofers in the door. It sounds really nice, and until I open the trunk to show off the amp and sub, it looks factory. Just sounds MUCH better.

I know JL makes a stealthbox that has a 13w6 in it which is a big sub. It goes in the back quarter panel. I don't think it sits in the same place as the factory subs.

I did the shelby subs for the doors only. Great fit and it makes the subs less boomy. They are made by kicker.

I looked it up one day, as an option, and was like NOPE...I could do alot more for that.

ya, you can get the same 6x8's for a LOT less from amazon.com. the door subs are the only part that i consider a good deal at $150 because you get 2 and everything to install them. the amp is overpriced, the rear sub isn't too bad by itself. if you price out a thunderform, amp, and sub its going to cost about the same or more. the JL stealth is around $1000 by itself, yikes...

its a rip off. this is what I bought and it works great:

Infinity 6x8 door 2 ways
Pyle Pro 8" door woofers
6x8 kicker ds680 2 way rear panel speakers
stock shaker 500
and an old 1200w Kenwood amp used to power the door woofers

This is my setup and man it sounds great! And cheap as hell!

What would you pay for a system like this?

anyone seen one in person? I have only seen one at kicker headquarters and the sema show..

The cost is high, guess I'm just gonna have to sit down one of these days and figure out the audio system. I was really into audio when I was younger, loved the Rockford Fosgate stuff...I just don't have time to do it myself. I'm curious to see what this kicker system sounds like though!
