After about 2 years of running my Car NA im making the switch over to FI. With in a few weeks we are going to be installing a Saleen Supershaker on my car, as well as replacing the shortblock for a lower compression unit. So far Ive been able to achieve nearly 400 RWHP via an automatic transmission and run a best ET to date of 11.15@119 mph! This combination has been amazing. Tons of power for the street and at the track. The only probably ive ever had is getting terrible fuel economy from having such a steep gear ratio. Right now im cruising with 4.56 gears in the car. I commute 30 miles each way to work and on the Garden state Parkway average speeds are 70mph+ which puts me over 3000 RPM all the time!! So its time for me to make the change.

Now i have a C&L intake manifold im trying to dyno test on the car and hopefully find a track open with the hopes for one last ditch effort of a 10 second pass. I think i have a shot at it but i need good weather.

Anyways i just wanted to inform everyone of my change over. Its been alot of fun running this car with out a blower on it. I really like it for around town use but my highway commute is not fun. So time to move on!! Ive made a post letting people know about some parts that are coming off my car so if an NA build is in your plans check it out for some good deals!!http://s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12266

Welcome to the FI team... It is much more fun for DD's unless you want to wedge a 429 in there:idea:

Joe the TechCo would be sweet but ive got a supershaker at disposal. So Im gonna go that route. I like the shaker design alot, its very efficient. Id like to make around 550 RWHP for a race tune with stock cams and a stock converter and see high 10's on any given day at the track. I think this will be a much more streetable car, ill probably put some 373's in it even.

Enitalp, Ill start a thread with pics when the build starts

Don yeah i had a Vortech that i won last year at an NMCA race but I sold it and we installed it on the customers car here.

Well they were released at the wrong time, everyone has been off for the race season. We have been very busy to even test my car with it, thats why im trying to do it before my motor comes out. Evolution performance tested one for a MM&FF magazine article but they cant really speak about it. Ive heard of some really nice gains, exactly what i was expecting. People are seeing between 20-30 HP depending on their build. C&L has been very responsive to development improvements and already offer different under belly lids for different volumes. I have a 12.7 L and 14.0 L lid ill be testing!
