It's a 2014. The only code that trips is if I take it to redline, I get a random misfire code. P0300

Weird. Generally a phaser stuck in full advance or retard will trip a code.

What tune are you running, and do you have limiters installed?

Do they run in an either/or sort of way? Or do they run in the middle and only advance or retard when called for. If you look closely at my pictures a few posts back, it looks to me like the cams usually run in the middle and only advance or retard when called for. The bank 1 intake cam just seems to be stuck in that position.

I'm running the Vortech tune on stock cams with no limiters.

The cams are infinitely variable between +/- 10* of advance/retard. (I believe it's 10.) They are not "all or nothing."

Ok. So it's possible for the intake cam to be stuck in the 0* +/- position. I tried something this morning on my way to work, where I unplugged the phaser on the drivers side intake cam. There is no change as far as seat of the pants feel and sound from the exhaust, also the check engine light did not come on. I'm thinking a phaser might have just malfunctioned and may not be stuck in either position but may not be doing its job at all.

The cam position sensor should be tripping a code in the PCM. That should certainly occur if you unplugged a phaser. I'm beginning to suspect a combination of bad solenoid/phaser and tune.

Whose tune are you running? Also, where are you located? Do you have easy access to one of the good tuners?

I'm running the tune that vortech did in house for me. I was part of their R&D program for the 2014s. I'm located in California about 40 miles from Oakland.

Would it be possible for you to run a stock tune just to see if the cam starts to work correctly? My Expedition had an issue where one of the cams wasn't acting right with my economy tune. Swapped to the towing tune and it worked fine.

I don't know how well that would work with the supercharger and larger injectors.

Finally pulled my exhaust off because everything else failed. I look inside my passenger side cat and the material is in three pieces. Guess I'm going catless. Im going to call AED on Tuesday to schedule a time to get a tune.

good to hear you have found the issue and good luck . The use of cats with these cars and FI is never a good thing,You are very lucky you haven't hurt your motor

I really am lucky that I didn't mess anything up. I started looking into what happens when a cat goes bad on an FI coyote, and reading about the aftermath really surprised me. I've had bad cats on cars in the past and never experienced damage.
