You said 07-09, what the difference between that and 05-06. You car has a iat my na 2005 gt doesn't have anything like that in the intake piping? It just has the mass air sensor, is that something special for that kit or is it a 07-09 thing, I know my 96 cobra has one, and when I put the vortech on I had to move the iat right before the throttle body. But my 05 gt doesn't have it. And you don't know what caused the chipped blades?

The iat in our cars is in the maf sensor. This way is an 'aftermarket' upgrade. I did what most people do and de-pinned the two wires in the MAF responsible for temperature readings and bought an old ford iat sensor from the 'stealership' along with a pigtail to wire into the MAF harness. Clearly this provides an accurate temperature reading that is capable of pulling timing when things get excessively hot; unlike the mafs location in a draw-through setup. As far as the other differences in the 05 kit I cannot tell you exactly. I'm sure cooling routing differences. I know my manual from Paxton has pages for the 05 install as well. I think the chips were from either when I had a boost leak, the valves not functioning properly could have built up some excess pressure, or maybe even from a small piece of silicon coupler? All speculation. Not only will you not notice any performance difference, but I'd be willing to throw $100 dollars to pay for half of a new impeller & balancing if someone wanted a new one anyway. Though I'd still recommend running it as is for a few years until it's old enough to justify a real rebuild (bearings&seals).

I'm not positive but I think it has to do with the fact the 07-09 cars have different routing of their coolant hoses and different coolant crossover etc. But like I said I am not positive on that.

07-09 cars have a different cooling system cross over tube where the thermostat is at the front of the intake. The 05-06 cars have the thermostat in the hose in front of the drivers side head. You can purchase the 05-06 coolant relocation setup direct from Vortech which includes all the hoses and connections or you can purchase the coolant crossover from Ford for the 07-09 cars. IMO the 07-09 setup is much nicer. Good luck with the sale!!! This is a great price.
