Can anyone tell me why it paused at ~4200rpms? the converter engaged at about 3K like it's supposed to, but what is that little stall for ....

Yeah, lower it so it looks like this.....

I haven't seen a pause like that before---really don't know. But it did flash right to 3000 rpm though. Those M&H's will hook for sure---did for me with an auto and a 150 shot right out of the hole. I hooked best at 17psi.

It's almost like the converter locked or something... I don't really know though

I guess yes... since those are the 275/50-17 M&H's (not the 325/45s)
I guess so, after I posted the question I saw his post where he mentions he ordered the 275/50s. I think I'm going the same route. I would love to get the 325s but then I need to spend an extra $$$$ on wheels. Maybe after I'm done with the go fast parts then I'll do the wheels.

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised in the 325/45s fit OK on an 8" wheel. The tread width is about the same as a 265 tire (it's wider than my Nitto 255s are, but narrower than my Nitto 275s were). And I'm glad I didn't try to put the 325/45s on a 10" wheel. I think the lip of the rim might actually stick out farther than the tire sidewall does.

I was thinking the same thing, but it would be a risky buy for me. I was looking at the tires today and they are just about the same width as the stock 235's!! odd indeed

and yes, they are the stock bullitts.

In other news, I put some mobil1 in, and the oil I took out was BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK. Is that normal?

Don I have the 325's on a 10 inch wheel and they fit just fine. I don't know how they will hook but I agree with you I think for best hook a 9 or 9 1/2 wheel would be best.

My new wheels for the Beast are 17x10 with 7 1/4 in backspacing on the rear. I don't have any shots with them on the car but we test fit them and they fit perfect.

No problems with the swaybar? Or did you relocate it?

I have the sway bar relocation kit but I din't need it with these wheels. They actually fit without any changes but I think I will grind a little off the bottom of the bracket just for a little extra clearance.
