Remember when I was younger people cruised all the time, not anymore. Our town does have a weekend celebration once a year though that has a cruise night. It is pretty cool. There are quite a few guys in this town of 800 people that have older muscle cars(GTX, Charger, GTO, Mustangs, Camaros). It is a lot of fun.

Yea, back in my home town we used to cruise every weekend by the beach. A couple bad kids and the cops pretty much shut that down over the course of a couple years.

Wow Chris. I used to cruise in the early 70s, Rt 175 in front of the Dairy Queen in Odenton Maryland. Cool stuff, sounds like you'll have a killer turnout!

In CT and the northeast, cruise nights are in almost every town and every night. On Mondays we have Marks Cruise Night bringing in at least 500-700 cars, trucks, bikes, ect.

I guess I should feel very lucky to have these, they are a lot of fun, they have one in Middletown, CT every year, they shut down the entire Main St to host the cruise night/car show.

I didn't know it was different around the US, I thought everyone did them.

we still do a cruise every weekend during the summer in elizabethton, tn. the entire downtown is blocked off and the cops will only let you through with your car if they think its presentable lol. the cops help keep out alot of the retarded ricers with their body kit civic DX's

Good one on ya though! Cruising was something we did out at Stone Mountain Park in the 1980's. We would start from Snellville, Ga. and go out to the park and cruise around the mountain. Many a beer can and condom were left out on the walking trails!
