SHIPPING TO BE DETEREMINED PER ORDER
Known unofficially as the S197 Magnum, this new 6-speed model will feature a direct-shift extension housing designed to eliminate the notoriously unpopular semi-remote factory shifter. Additionally, a slip yoke style interface will also make it easy to ditch the equally unpopular 2-piece driveshaft in favor of a more robust 1-piece arrangement.
As with all Magnum 6-speeds, TREMEC aims to put a 700 lb-ft. seal of approval on the new Mustang units, and will eventually offer them with both Magnum ratio packages to suit a variety of street and performance driving scenarios.
Great solution for 2011-2012 Ford Mustangs with fragile factory Getrag MT-82 transmissions! Also replacing the weak TR3650 and the shifting issue prone TR6060.
Two different ratio options are available:
2.66:1st 1.78:2nd 1.30:3rd 1.00:4th 0.74:5th 0.50:6th
2.97:1st 2.10:2nd 1.46:3rd 1.00:4th 0.80:5th 0.63:6th

We have our 1st order shipping to us now.

If you have any questions feel free to post up or call

Thanks guys

Good to know the 2011 guys have options if my 2nd MT-82 goes out. What spline clutch does it utilize?

Seems like the 2nd option of ratios with a 4:10 should about be equivalent to ratios in mt82 with 3.73's.

Is the 5th gear ratio on the 2.66 box really .74? The .80 is listed in the other T56 combinations w/ 2.66 first. Is that a typo where 5th got swapped with each other?

What is the stock ratios? It would be cool to see these two options along side the stock ratios plotted into a gear calculator.

I have the 3.73, and might be moving to a smaller 26" tire. Seems I have too much gear as it is.

I would recommend on the 2011 and the 05-10 cars the 2.97 1st ratio's. Now if you have a high horsepower Twinscrew car or big HP Shelby I would say the 2.66 Gear to soften the hit. We are running the 2.97 Ratio in Justin's 2011 GT. We have 2.66 ratio unit going into a Shelby very soon. That car makes 800+rwhp

TR3650
3.38 2.00 1.32 1.00 0.67

Getrag MT82
3.66 2.43 1.69 1.32 1.00 0.65

TR6060
2.97 1.78 1.30 1.00 0.80 0.63

2.66:1st 1.78:2nd 1.30:3rd 1.00:4th 0.74:5th 0.50:6th

2.97:1st 2.10:2nd 1.46:3rd 1.00:4th 0.80:5th 0.63:6th

Here's a pic of the base kit. Our webstore gives you the rest of the info on parts needed and we're offering some great packages. Give us a call for any info needed.

How does the speedo calibration box work for the 2011+? Is this an SCT style tune or simply a plug and play unit?

If I am not wrong you will need to wire the box to the existing trans plug on the car then plun on the T-56.

Gotcha, thanks. So changes to the speedo after the install, such as different tires, can be done with the SCT?

Also, what kind of sound insulation is there for the solid shifter? For cars that are 90% street driven what kind of noise can be expected inside the cabin?

The box has dip switches that can be adjusted for gearing. The tire size should be done in the SCT.

As far as noise its going to be minimum. i wouldn't really worry about that

It might not be much related to the thread but for people that are a little bit tied up right now what are the financial options available to get these Kit?

I might be a little bit more worried about how much will these cost monthly if is any financial aid for it. Thanks.

So if I read it correctly, this is a built T56 (same tranny that comes in the 03-04 cobra)?

Nope not the same trans as the 03-04 Cobra. These are their new design units. These are stronger than the oe cobra units and shift smoother

Tommy,

Just checking to make sure you still have stock on these and they are not back order?

Anyone have any reviews yet? I'm looking at the full kit with the RST and spec steel flywheel for my TT 09 GT with goals at 600RWHP.
