Manual to Auto convertion - easy?

I have been thinking about about doing a manual to auto conversion on my '06 GT. I have not made any decisions yet. Of course, now I have found the parts to do the swap for $450 and it is from a local seller. Currently, my car has a 3650 transmission. The parts for sale locally include (all stock parts) a 5r transmission, shifter, pedal assembly, driveshaft, cross member, pcm, and wiring harness all from a 2006 with a 4.6. I do not know what he means by "wiring harness" as I have not seen these components in person. A few questions for those who have done this swap:
1. Is it this easy? Can I just bolt in the parts, connect the pcm, and my car will be an auto?
2. What should I look for in regards to the wiring harness? Isn't the entire engine/transmission harness different between a manual and auto car?
3. What else should I consider?

I want to be clear for this thread. I realized I asked what is else should I consider but I don't want this thread to be about the benefits of a different auto compared to a 5R transmission. There are plenty of threads on that. I want to narrowly focus on installing the 5R transmission.

If he is going to sell you all that for $450 then buy it, even if you don't do the swap. I can't believe that price, a working transmission by itself is worth more then that. Or are you saying this is the cost including giving him all your manual stuff? As far as the swap itself it's an easy swap if you have all the parts and has been done many times. The only other thing I would recommend is getting the automatic foot pedal assembly.

$450 is the cost for all of it without my parts. The transmission is supposed to be from a 19k mile 2006 4.6 Mustang and he claims that it has no issues. You are right. At that price it is worth it for the transmission alone.
It includes the pedal assembly from the donor car. Have you done this swap? Does the required automatic harness include the whole engine harness?

I haven't done the swap, mine was originally an auto but with all the factory parts it's an easy swap. If I remember correctly, the automatic harness plugs into the engine harness. At that price, I would buy the whole TCI rebuild kit http://www.tciauto.com/tc/ford-5r55s-master-overhaul-service-kithtml/ and a PA input shaft, https://rs4.admarkonline.com/~performanceautomatic/cart.php then have someone local do a rebuild before you put it in. You would still be way ahead on cost and have a trans the will hold up to your TVS.

Don't forget to add a good TC.

I'd do a manual valve body, tbrake, and push button lockup, if you are doing it for drag racing. Would save a lot of wiring hassle too.

He's talking about a 5R55S trans not a 4R70W. I doubt he wants to spend $6000 on a 4R swap.
