It's actually my Dad and his brother they were talking about (my uncle)

With gas pedal mashed to floor, just before redline in 1st gear, rapidly push clutch 1/2 way to floor & slam into 2nd gear, immediately releasing clutch.

Repeat for 2-3 shift.

Repeat for 3-4 shift.
