Darren did you really go from MGW to MGW with blowfish bracket to race spec MGW without bracket in like 10 miles? Sheesh......

LOL @ you guys!!!

I had the Blowjob bracket but the MGW Race Spec shifter appears to be the best of all worlds. Besides, I think George from MGW is an awesome person that delivers awesome products unlike the Blowjob Bracket guy that screwed us early adopters at launch AND threw my parts in a box.

I'll NEVER buy from Blowjob Racing again.

hmm.. I think I will just get the bushings to make the front stock arm solid and than use it with my barton 2 post bracket and barton shifter

The bracket also serves as a DS loop, similar to the Stiffler design.

Boom. Pair a rigid shifter design with bracket that compliments it while being driveshaft safety loop, to me, sounds like an amazing bulletproof combo. That's what I was thinking.

Or you could buy a DS loop for half the price if you really need one. The MGW does not need the bracket, its a waste of money.

Watch this video, or just skip to 10:00 in.

Exactly what I was saying. Less money wasted.

Yeah, let me spend $650 for the Race shifter and a BMR DS Loop when I can spend $300 and get the same benefit with the Blowfish bracket.

That wasn't my point. If you are buying the MGW, you are wasting your time and money with a Blowfish Bracket. The Blowfish Bracket is really great and I wish they could make something similar for the 05-10 cars. Its a must for everyone that has any shifter other than the MGW race spec.

Unless barton is replacing the arm the shifter box mounts to the transmission, it still has the side to side movement. MGW is offering new bushings for folks who dont need the racespec but want a total solution.

Funny cause I have 700hp and about 600 ft lbs of torque and can shift the fuck out of my Barton with the heavy duty 2 post.

I think everyone should know that once something is said on the internet it applies to all cars and people ever, ever.

I got news for you, the Barton heavy duty 2 post doesn't need a bracket either.

The 2 post can still have lock outs when shifting from 2nd to 3rd if you are driving the car hard enough. Trust me because I still deal with a 2-3 lockout during autocrosses, and the last time I went to a Test-N-Tune on my Barton 2-post. Not as often as I had them with the single post, but it still happens enough to be annoying.

Damn, Darren. That didn't take long. The MGW + Blowfish parts had maybe 1/2 mile from pushing around hte garage & driveway, right? Someone's getting a great deal on new parts.

Razzing aside, thanks for locating those pics & video. I hadn't been able to find any so far & am curious. Looks like a beefy part.

I am at 7 years of racing almost every month, only on my 2nd transmission and 2nd clutch.
Pretty damn sturdy.
