So, you'd rather have this setup than the Blowjob + MGW combo? Trying to decide if the new MGW is worth the extra coin on top of the Blowfish bracket.

Other than the BF bracket functioning as a drive shaft loop, it is dead in the water with this setup out now.

I'm going to be interested to hear peoples report on the MGW shifter link bushing....ie..$20 part. to steady up the shifter box as well..

The RACE SPEC is all inclusive.

Let me just say that I had the MGW/BF bracket combo and it didn't make any unwanted noise for me and I'm VERY picky. I just didn't like the way it had to be "adjusted" on the tail end of the shifting assembly therefore the potential to have the shifting malaligned was high! This setup keeps the trans and shifting mechanism linear!

I swear you can tell it just by moving the shifter through the gears in normal driving as well as spirited driving. It is absolutely amazing!!!!

Okay, so we know that sitting in the garage with the brake on you can shift it flawlessly. Anyone else that actually uses their vehicle installed this yet? I still have the marble sound in my shift knob using the Blowfish/Steeda short throw and am considering this as the next option. I just need someone who actually bangs gears and takes the car to RPM's higher than idle to give us some real feedback.

This is how this deal worked out for me.

I sold my Blowjob Bracket for $180 and then I traded in my MGW Gen 1 shifter for $200 so the RACE SPEC only cost me $120 to upgrade to.

With George doing the buy back option, it was a win-win situation for previous MGW owners. I can't believe he even offered to do that. AMAZING customer service and loyalty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS IMO!!

Ahh, so many options. I'm just trying to decide the best bang for the buck option to improve upon a completely stock shifter assembly. BF bracket + stock shifter? MGW Race spec? Fancy MGW bit'o'metal bushing on the stock shifter? Guess I'll bide my time and see what other folks do, but if the feel can be improved that dramatically with a $20 bushing, that'll be a very attractive option.

I just bought the bushings today and it was $25 shipped. I'll chime in after installing on any difference I notice.

Hell, at $25 out the door I might just pull the trigger now. I've pissed away better money on worse things... Did you have to give MGW a call, I'm not seeing anything on their site.
