I'm currently running a set of 275/50/15 MT ET Street Radials on a set of 15x9 Prostar XP's and I will be getting a set of 15x10 7.5 Racestars in the next few weeks. I need a new set of DR's to go with the new wheels and I am trying to decide between:

M&H- 325/50/15
Height- 28"
Section Width- 12.4"
Tread Width- 11.0

Mickey Thompson 325/50/15
Height- 28"
Section Width- 13.1"
Tread Width- 11.6"

Mickey Thompson 295/55/15
Height- 27.8"
Section Width- 12.0"
Tread Width- 10.9"

Goodyear 325/50/15
Height -28"
Section Width- 13.8"
Tread Width- 11.5

From what I have seen from others, the MT 325 sticks out just a little bit, but doesn't seem to rub. Using that tire as a baseline on the Racestar Wheels, the Goodyear will stick out more and the MT 295, and M&H 325 should both tuck completely.

Performance wise, I know the MT's do well and I have heard good things about the M&H's. Has anyone tried running the Goodyears yet? Suggestions are more than appreciated.

I would go with the MT 295's or the 325 M&H if they will actually tuck under the fender. I can get some pics of my holeshots with 325 MT from the side and rear to show how much they stick out if you want. I think the Ken from Modular Depot ran the Goodyears and I don't think he liked them. Here you go, scroll down and read his post, that might help your decision a little. http://s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29549&page=3&highlight=goodyear

What is the size and backspacing of your holeshots? Pics would be appreciated. I saw another member posted up the 295/55/15's on Racestars and they tucked perfectly.

Ok, sounds like the Goodyear is probably out of the running based on Ken's experience. I think my car is a bit lighter than his, but not by much.

I think the bs on the holeshots is 7 7/8" but you have to use a spacer that is about 3/4" or so. It will probably be tomorrow before i get pics since I just found out that after being gone for almost 2 months my kitchen sink has been leaking and ruined my cabinets. So I am trying to get that taken care of with the insurance company today and get an adjuster here before I leave this weekend.

No rush man. Your home comes first for sure. I haven't had anything like that happen but I've been working away from home for about a month and a half now, only going home on some weekends.

I haven't tried MT drag radial but boy do I love my M&H dr's at the track! No traction issues launching with nitrous

But didn't the M&H change their tire sizes last year so they are closer to the advertised size?

I think that might have only applied to the 18" versions though I might be wrong. Even if that is the case with the 325/50/15's, they still spec out at a smaller width than the Mickey's which will help them to tuck in. I need to see if my buddy Terry can get some pics of his 2010 with the Racestars and 325/50/15's standing over the fender.

Does that mean the 325 DR's wont fit good on a 17X9 rim?
