Moisture in headlight

So I recently searched the site and couldnt find a specific answer so here we go.

I recently installed 8000k HID bulbs in my mustang and its seems i am getting moisture in one of my headlights. When i originally put in the HID's they were loose so i used the rubber grommet from the stock lights as well as the new HID's. It fit snug after that and all seemed fine till the next day when i got a car wash. It has had "condensation" on the lens ever since, any help? It would be greatly appreciated....

I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I admit I have done it and I haven't had any problems...

I just drilled a 1/8 in hole on the rear of the housing, 1 towards the top and a second one near the bottom to allow air in and out. I didn't drill a hole in the lens, just in the back of the housing. I had to take the unit out to do it.

It worked, and the moisture is gone, and like I said i haven't had any problems.....Knock on wood.

I also had the same problem after installing hids.dealer replaced it 3 times for free and it still came back.i finally drilled 1 small hole in front part of headlight on both bottom corners and problem solved.cant even see it until down on your knees.

I really didnt want to have to do any drilling...but if it solves the problem then that looks like what i have to do. Thanks for the help!!!!

I had the same problem with my stock headlights on my 2010. Dealer stated some moisture is "normal" lol

I had this problem with my taillights so i just put sealant on the edges of the lens and it hasn't happened since.
