That's not looking good.
How so? It's not full of metal or bearing material from the looks of it, if the oil pump broke that is probably the metal that is there. I'd say that right now it looks much better than Ron first expected.

For those interested in looking at the pics in full size:

I agree, at this point a broken oil pump would actually be good news for Ron.

I hope it's not a broken water pump and the parts are in the oil pan..that would be bad.:LMAO:

Just messing with ya Zman, I know you meant oil pump. That will be awsome if that's all it is ron and you were able to shut it down without causing any other damage.:thumb:

well things are looking worse guys. The 2 dowels (or whatever they are called) that hold the free floating chain guide are sheared off. one is completely missing and the other is just hanging there. i didn't touch it because there's a washer behind it and its broken and i don't want it to fall into the pan.

I am also going to have to get left handed drill bits to remove the broken dowel pins as well.

This looks to be the cause of the noise i was hearing, but not the lack of oil pressure. Im still hoping that is the oil pump

heres some pics

Try to post bigger pics next time. :thud:

Hey Keven, can you guys order the 26 spline disk for the Spec III? I'd rather not have to have the down time of mailing off part of my clutch to Spec so that they can swap it out and send it back, seems like a lot of down time waiting on mail.

Hey Ron, sorry this has happened. I still think that the way the crank shafts are balanced have mostly to do with the oil pump failures. I would like to know the outcome of this. You should just trade me your blower for mine and everything will be OK.

Haha, if you wanted to do that, you should have just tried it right after he got back from the track. He isn't so depressed and prone to fall for your manipulation now.

Could have offered him $500 for the whole car I believe that night about 10pm, and it would have been yours.

I figured all these aches and pains came on after he put on a Kenne Bell blower, so Ill gladly trade him my flawless Saleen and ill start to deal with the problems that he deals with.
