Has anyone ever used the DoB alternator on a stock engine? My 6G finally shit the bed so I'm getting a DoB unit, but it will only mount using the 2 studs above the water pump. The DoB unit has no ears, so the top bracket can't be used. I talked to Jason and he says that those 2 studs are sufficient to hold it in the cradle and leaving the ears on the DoB unit is not an option. Has anyone had any issues using the DoB unit on a stock engine with only the 2 studs as mounting points? Has it ever misaligned and come loose or shredded a belt?
