Moving a thread or part of a thread?

I posted a bunch of stuff on doing the timing/valvetrain stuff in the Cams and Timing thread that rattleanake had started. I wasn't paying attention to it being in the Chit-Chat subforum.
Could it, or the posts related to that be moved to the appropriate tech forum?
It might be of more use there than in Chit-Chat .
