The final estimate from the body shop was a little over $19,500 in parts and labor. The insurance company is declaring it a total loss. They called me today to verify the model and options before declaring a final value. I'll find out what the final value is on Monday. I'm glad I got the GAP insurance with the loan.
Now I need to find a replacement for my car. The insurance company took three weeks to figure out what they were doing and in that time several left over 2008 GT's with the options I wanted in the colors I liked and that had the $3000 rebates sold. I'm away on vacation now and I won't get home until after the current rebates expire on the 12th. Hopefully they will be back to $3000-$4000 rebates on the leftover 2008 GT's then or they will have good rebates on the 2009 models.
I looked at used GT500's, but most of them seem a bit out of my price range and they aren't quite what I'm looking for. Yea sounds strange doesn't it that I'm not looking for a GT500.
