Yup. Sure have heard of him. Met the man a few times over the years. Damn nice guy and one hell of a racer. Are you the son who was driving the red coupe in FFW Renegade a year or so ago?

yea that was me lol, I only had a small 306 motor with 550hp I ended up going 10.60s but I was there more just to test. The car now goes 8.70s with the turbo set up :) but its outdated for renegade its sitting here at the shop, while I build a street car lol...

Apreciate the coments about the old man. We might hit up some fun ford events with my S197 this up coming year to race in that 11.90 S197 class

The S197 class isn't restricted to 11.90. It is called Ultra Stang and your index is determined by your quickest qualifying pass. Deduct a tenth off that pass and that is your index for Sunday's eliminations.

Come on out and give it a shot. I'm having quite a bit of fun in that class.

I like how the trunk came out, is there a lot of extra cabin noise now? Makes me want to think about doing that with mine.

Also who makes that radiator support? Looks like a nice piece.

Very nice work thus far, Impressive coming from a 19/yo, can't say I'd expect any less considering your family though. Keep it up!

To be honest I havnt driven the car since ive bought it lol.. its winter time up here in canada so no driving for another few months.. I assume there will be more noise but im young and doesnt bother me xD

The sway bar delete is made by granatelli, it came blue so I painted it gloss black to match my Race craft k-member when it goes in.

Im 19 but I have alot of knowledge I have collected over the years working everyday in the shop and from my dad lol

Yeah sure. Remove EVERYTHING from the car except engine, transmission, rear end, one seat, pedals, and steering wheel. Not my idea of a street car. Then again.....I don't expect anything less from those guys.

+1. Weight savings has a very fine line between acceptable and ridiculous.

Matt, your car is looking good, and I too have heard of your father. I also have read his column in the mags.
