I want to bypass the check valve so I am thinking of just cutting the tube off and tapping the valve cover for a NPT to AN fitting. Anyone think this will be an issue?

TIA

I took a 90 cut off wheel and cut it carefully, so the tube mated up perfectly with the -12 fitting; and yes, tell your welder they are magnesium covers.

I had a similar idea, you could also cut them off completely and plug them, then run to bulkheads out the back of the covers and add an extension to the baffles. Either way I don't see where you'll have an issue if you retain most of the baffle function.

If you just flip the trans mount only this will cause the motor to lean back towards the driver and a drivetrain shutter around 15-18mph.
as i said you lower the trans and the engine.
i have no shutter anywhere from 0-125mph :)

Alright, I haven't updated this in a minute, but the swap is starting this next week on Friday the 13th.

Started adding everything up and man this got a little out of hand, especially since this project was ENTIRELY self funded(my parents don't even know about it other than a lot of boxes showing up at my house)

I'll type up a list in a minute, im at work right now.

i really don't want to know how much i have invested in mine. if i did then i wouldn't even want to start the freaking thing up much less take it to the track and run the absolute piss out of it.

Nice project. Very impressive for a kid your age. Hell very impressive for a guy any age honestly. Good luck.

Well there are a lot of kids whos parents bought them their car and pay for their mods.

That's why this swap is "self funded"

I'll be at Texas state in the spring also definitely would love to see the finished build. So do you work at this shop?

Yea, part time during the school year, and full time during the summer. It's a really fun gig, and being able to use the shops lifts, tools, and fabrication equipment is a nice kicker.
