Hi everyone,
I own a 2005 Mustang GT (4.6L 3V) and recently had a diagnostic done at a shop due to ongoing issues over the past month or two. I've been dealing with trouble codes, faulty sensors, and other problems. The shop confirmed that the PCM needs to be replaced.

I'm looking for recommendations for a reliable website or company to purchase a replacement PCM. If anyone knows of trustworthy shops or specialists in the Miami area who can handle this locally, that would be even better.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Sometimes a bad alternator will give you symptoms of problematic PCM.

If it is the PCM, then get the vehicle specific 4-digit code off the ECM bracket (i.e., BKT3) and search for a wrecked or rebuilt unit with that code. You will still need to have it programmed to your car and keys...

I suggest you let the shop; acquire, replace & reprogram the used or rebuilt PCM, so you can have warranty on the issue.

And Willy can't help you out?
He can, i just don't got $600-900 laying around right now for the car, I'm in college so i need some money incase for class materials and such, but I will definitely be going to them for the help. but at least now I know what's been giving me the issues.

The issue with used, is you never know if you are getting good or bad until it is installed and programming is attempted

True, but what can I do? I need to stick with this car for now, as I'm not planning to sell it anytime soon. It's my first car, and I want to take good care of it. The car still runs, but I've noticed it sometimes vibrates a little after a cold start—though it usually stops after a bit. I'm planning to rebuild the timing components soon, but I wasn't expecting the PCM to be bad while troubleshooting the O2 sensor issues. As for the alternator, that was the first thing I replaced when I got the car. I didn't cut corners on it either—I went with an SR Performance alternator from AmericanMuscle.com.
