Ok I tried to search with no luck so here goes. I have the dealer installed interior accent, similar to the carbon fiber type ones only it is brushed aluminum. I want to remove it so I can paint it to match the exterior of the car and then I'll use some handy dandy 3m 2 sided tape to put it back in. My problem is removing it, my buddy and I used a heat gun tonight and we got it stupid hot and not even a bubble. We stopped using the heat gun as we got the door panel hot enough that we were worried about melting it. Does anyone know a good way to remove this stuff?
