Ran the ET Street class today in the SUNOCO Super Points Challenge. New best of 11.66 @ 120 with a 1.59 60'. Finally broke into the 11.6s and the 1.5s. Won two elimator races then lost to a early 90s Dodge Daytona running 16.95 all day long. IMO they should have capped the ET Street class somewhere in the 14s. Of the final four cars remaining the Daytona was one of them and a dodge minivan from the 90s running around the same time was another.

I think its time to switch the the 11.50 index class.

One time I was in the same kind of deal, had to race a volvo wagon that ran a 21 second 1/8 mile to my 8.30. I sat and sat and sat and when the tree cam down for me I freaking red lighted, I stayed in it and still caught the guy. I hate slow cars in bracket racing

Well, a few changes. My previous times were on 26" tires and just spinning like crazy. Then at PINKS ALL OUT in North Carolina i ran a 28" tire but they were brand new and wouldnt really hook. But my times came down as i got some heat cycles into them. Now they are primed up and gripping well. My sweet spot now is launching at around 4k rpm.

Also a big difference is that NC is probably 1200 ft above sea level and it was hot. Englishtown is a much lower altitude.

Yeah bracket racing really slow cars is no fun. Granted the guy was probably a good driver but its ridiculous. With 11 12 or even 13 second cars your 60' times can vary here or there and your shifting may vary slightly so really anybody on any given race has a descent shot. A 17 second car just hits the gas and goes. The car probably had the same exact 60' times and his quarter times were 16.95, 16.93, 16.94 and so on. I will say that racing cars taht are that consistent can only make me better.

Love the Whipple!

Stock clutch is calling it quits, even with the Goodyear F1's it's slipping alittle.. I don't think she'll hold upto the MT's and the track. She just started slipping back in March and due to my last F'n tenets destroying my place to the tune of $5k+ I haven't had the time or money to replace it with the McCleod one I want, yet. lol

Nice! I am hoping to run there this year. I usually go to Island just because it is closer but it is a doggy track compared to E-town and Atco.
