Broght car back after a week and 500 easy break in miles on new Ram clutch.. here is a run down of what they installed after stocker went out..

Ram HD clutch, New Throw out assembly,New flywheel, new pedals..

on my way to get a filter at the dealer and im going thru town.. every light i notice its getting harder to go in gear...SHIIIII* by the last light i have the clutch floored and car is creeping forward and getting in gear is real hard..

at the dealer tech comes out and every gear he tries in parking lot sitting still makes a loung clang.. and for reverse he had used all he had to get it in gear .. when he reved it in reverse with clutch depressed it took off... Awsome..

well 2 weeks later they said the pedal was bent and wasnt depressing the cyl all the way LOL.. Ok how the F u bend steel mounted to a spring lol..

i go along and they install GT500 pedals ummm still not working ... DUH..

SO now WTF ... I think the slave throwout went out... could the new clutch be tomuch for the slave to handle??

I am FN lost and beyond pissed now.. will Ford pay my note even though its thru a Bank??

You're going to have a hard time getting Ford to pay for this with your aftermarket clutch. I think you're on your own with this one.

Warranty will cover anything that's not related to the mods you've made. Your aftermarket clutch directly effects your slave cylinder. Probably not covered.

I think you just proved that the problem is in the pressure plate/flywheel interface. The Ram clutch acted the same as the original, the bolts backed out. I doubt if locktite or so called proper torqueing will fix it.

Ford should acknowledge this and fix it.

It could be excessive clearance in the dowels, or even a harmonic vibration problem, or any number of other issues. I vote for loose fitting dowels that allow enough movement to work the bolts loose.

Hmm I just got a new Spec 3+ clutch flywheel prebalanced from the factory and it didn't even have the dowels in it. Anyway I had to take off the flywheel and send it back due to it being a 6 bolt and me needing an 8 bolt. They new flywheel comes with dowel pins(not inserted) so if what you're saying is true then I need to use the dowels. It just seems strange that the factory didn't use them. I'm sure none of this is helpful to the op but just brainstorming....

What is a spec 3+ clutch/flywheel?

It's a clutch and flywheel for 05-10 cars. I'm sure they'll have one available soon for the '11+ cars. Anyway I was just pointing out the fact that they do not have dowel pins in the flywheel when assembled and shipped from the factory.

I second this. I think you're on to something.
