For a small price, certainly!

I don't know how much I'd return the car to stock, I really don't want to swap the headers back to stockers, but we'll see.

yeah, I wouldn't make you do anything like that, although you may want to make it able to pass visual inspection, which means either welding in some cats or swapping headers and going back to stock mid-pipe.

Yea that would be interesting. I'll try and sell the car privatly first, then ask dealers how shit goes down when it comes to that stuff.

Although, chances are I'll be road-tripping to get the Shelby, so maybe if the one I buy is in po-dunk nowhere it'll be ok. Otherwise I may put the stock manifolds/h-pipe on, since I can sell the ARH for good money.

I really want to keep my X3, so I think I will as long as it can be moved over to the other car. I think even if its locked I can send it to SCT for $150, which is half the cost of a new one.

Anyway, again, solid year away, not too worried. If you want any of my DOB kit parts let me know before I toss them up here.

what else do you have done besides the intake and exhaust that needs the tune? I'm sure you can find a stock intake somewhere cheap, then you could return to stock.

I know where you can find a stock intake. Me.

Thanks for the offer Jake!

Other mods are CMDP's, and my WOTBOX. I'll de-wire the wotbox and just toss it on the GT500 since it'll work the same.

All in all, I'll probably leave the intake/CMDP's on since its not worth it $$$ wise to take them off and sell them. I have tunes from AM that will pass inspection with those mods, so I'll just load that tune.

I have decided, however, that if I can't sell the car privately, I'll take the headers off. I've read some stories about cars with no cats being traded in, and it just never works out for the person trading the car.

Yea, taking the headers off will suck, but I'll be good to trade it to a dealer and I'll be able to get some good $$$ for the headers.

I think you would be getting more money returning to stock completely if you can't do a private deal. You have to buy the intake and stock CMDP's, but you will get more money when you sell the stuff you have on it now. Plus you would be able to return the tune to stock and re-use the tuner without having to spend the $150 to have the tuner unlocked.

Thats true. Actually, I think I have my stock butterflys laying around....

The speedo will be off due to the tire size, but thats it.

Also, I think I'll still have to send my X3 off to SCT because the computer code will be different.

Oh, derrr. The computer code is just for the tune, not the tuner.

So who wants to buy some pimp ass headers next year?

We can work something out I'm sure. Just removing yours are going to be a pain since they will be rusted to the heads.

lol, it really shouldn't be that bad, I have new headers on there since I did the new block. has only been on there since november and I don't think Chris had an issue with removing the old ones either. the block is aluminum so it doesn't rust! :beerchug2:

On your car Kevin, I'm pretty sure aluminum, plastic, and glass will start rusting sooner or later.
